Da hatte ich einmal einen Shop (mit ein paar zusätzlichen anderen Seiten) bei 1&1, nur zum Ausprobieren, ob die Welt wirklich meine Akzentschalen haben möchte, und dann hatte ich einen Blog. Und alles wuchs, das Shopsystem wurde gewechselt, weil die Bilder dort viel besser waren, und ein eigener Internetauftritt wurde neu gestaltet, dahin zog auch der Blog. Alles war schön eingerichtet, da dachte ich: Kündige ich doch den alten Shop, den brauche ich nicht mehr, das Geld muss ich nicht ausgeben. Die Kundigungsfrist war sehr lang und geriet in Vergessenheit, weil ja so etwas heute automatisch und zuverlässig erledigt wird.
Vor zwei Wochen brauchte ich einen Text, aber warum neu ausdenken, das kopiere ich aus meiner Internetseite. Nach dem Aufruf stand dort nur: Fehler in der Datenbank. Das war an einem Freitagabend. Am Montag war diese Fehlermeldung noch immer statt meiner Seite dort zu lesen und irgendwie dämmerte mir, dass ungefähr zu diesem Zeitpunkt mein alter Shop auslief. Nach Rücksprache mit der Firma stellte sich heraus, dass nicht nur der alte Shop, sondern auch alles andere gelöscht war und eine Wiederherstellung nicht möglich ist, weil die letzte Sicherung auch schon gelöscht wurde. „Und eine Sicherung der Datenbank machen wir sowieso nicht“, war der Schluss des Gespräches. Es gibt ja noch Strato, dachte ich, aber was passiert bei einem Wechsel diesmal?
Nun kann ich wieder neu anfangen, diesen Blog mit Inhalt zu füllen. Die alten Fotos habe ich noch, aber die dazugehörigen Texte habe ich natürlich nicht gespeichert.
